Tomatoes galore

The aquaponics system has been going gang busters and particularly the tomato we put in the first grow bed.  Its a heritage variety called Green Zebra and its been growing like a triffid.  You can see it there at the back, behind the lettuces we are letting go to seed.

We recently heard that you could grow tomatoes from cuttings, and as the Green Zebra clearly needed a haircut, we decided to kill two birds with one stone.

We did 8 cuttings in all, five on one day and another three a few days later.  The first five have taken really well but the other three aren't looking quite as good but may still bounce back.  So now we'll just wait and see if we get some beautiful tomatoes off them
